He (Tunku) taught us that in a multi-racial, multi-cultural and multi-religious nation such as ours, each individual Malaysian has a role to play in strengthening the nation through a sense of national unity based upon mutual understanding and respect for one another.

- Tun Datuk Seri Utama Dr. Lim Chong Eu, in Prince Among Men

To be a Tunku Scholar is to be a nation-builder.

As an organisation, YTAR is more than just a scholarship; above all, it prioritizes potential and nurtures passion. The Tunku Abdul Rahman Scholarship provides holistic leadership development programs and individual mentorship from the Tunku Scholar alumni in addition to the provision of a full scholarship that covers all university expenses as well as a monthly allowance.

We believe that each individual Malaysian should be given the platform and opportunity to develop themselves as they pursue their dreams to make Malaysia a better place. As an organization, our scholars are nurtured with the right skills, mindset and values to honour and uphold the legacy of Tunku Abdul Rahman.

Our scholars represent the diversity in Malaysia at its best. Regardless of financial background, field of study, race or religion, there is a Tunku Scholar that is just like you. Come and meet our scholars, or find out what our alumni are achieving.

In the spirit of Tunku, we focus on honing the potential of the future leaders of Malaysia, regardless of colour or creed.
