Pingat Tunku Award

Since 1979, the Pingat Tunku has been awarded annually to three students from local universities who have achieved outstanding academic excellence at the Bachelor’s degree level. In 2010, the award was expanded to three categories (gold, silver and bronze).

The awarding of the Pingat Tunku is as a symbol of recognition to students who have tirelessly worked towards academic achievement, reflecting the values upheld by YTAR after a stringent screening process conducted by YTAR.

The criteria of the Pingat Tunku Award are as follows:

  • CGPA of 3.80 and above
  • Recipients of IPTA excellent graduate awards and nominated by their respective universities.

High-achieving students are nominated by their respective universities to go through a stringent selection process for the award. The three award categories are:

GOLD PINGAT TUNKU

SILVER PINGAT TUNKU

BRONZE PINGAT TUNKU
