In 2006, this loan was then replaced by the Biasiswa Tunku Abdul Rahman (Tunku Abdul Rahman Scholarship) to high-potential students from all races, financial backgrounds and fields of education. Students awarded with the scholarship are granted the title of Tunku Scholars.

YTAR also began providing financial aid to less fortunate students from 2011 until today.
Since its establishment, Malaysians through the support of YTAR have completed their studies and have led their careers in medicine, law, science and technology, education, politics, media, and more.
