TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN STUDY ENDOWMENT
The Tunku Abdul Rahman Study Endowment (BPTAR) is reserved for students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds that covers the costs of living for two (2) semesters (ten months only) while pursuing a full-time bachelor’s degree at any local university (UA) in Malaysia. Application for the BPTAR must be submitted to the University Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs).
Among the selection criteria that we will be looking at during the selection process are:
- Citizen of Malaysia.
- A registered full-time student in any Bachelor Degree at any local university in Malaysia.
- Comes from a poor family (B40) household income of RM4,000 and below.
- Note: Applicants who are currently receiving other financial aid (loans) are eligible to apply.
Verification of family income
- Information about the family income must be verified by a person who knows the family well such as the District Head (or equivalent) or the Head of Department (employer of the parent/guardian).
Reminder: Application for the BPTAR must be submitted to the University Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs).
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Candidates who are not contacted by the Student Affairs of their university after three months from the closing date are considered unsuccessful. Please contact your respective student affairs office of your university for any inquiries.
