TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN STUDENTSHIP (DTAR)
DTAR is reserved for students who excel in academic achievements under Hard Sciences and has leadership potential. The studentship covers costs of living and tuition fees for students pursuing their Bachelor’s Degree in local higher learning institutions studying full-time.
Candidates are chosen from those who have successfully followed through the Traits Observation programme for the Tunku Abdul Rahman Scholarship. Recipients of DTAR are students who come from underprivileged families.
The YTAR Board of Trustees will determine the amount and number of recipients of DTAR.
(i) Citizen of Malaysia.
(ii) Aged not more than 25 years on the closing date.
(iii) A full-time registered student in any Degree at IPT.
(iv) Successfully followed the Leadership Traits Observation programme organized by YTAR.
STATUS OF DTAR RECIPIENT
To any recipient of DTAR who successfully displays academic excellence and leadership performance, consideration may be made to upgrade the status of the recipient to the Tunku Abdul Rahman Scholarship (BTAR) scheme, thus holding the title of ‘Tunku Scholar’.
